In Malawi, you’re not just changing lives, you’re saving them

When Evelyn’s daughter was born with physical disabilities, stigma and isolation left her struggling with severe postnatal depression. Through a St John of God outreach clinic, they both received the care and support they needed.

“The team supported me so much. The care they provide to my daughter has given me so much hope, and the counselling they have provided to me has given me the will to live again.”

Today, Evelyn is building a better life for herself and her daughter, all thanks to the incredible support of people like you.

A Groundbreaking Day Centre in Dundalk

Thanks to your generosity, work is nearing completion on a new day services centre at Seatown, Dundalk, that will provide more space for training, activities and new opportunities, enhancing the lives of twice as many people as the previous building could!

This project could never have happened without your generosity. When we reached out to supporters last Christmas, there was still a funding gap standing in the way. You stepped in and helped make this much-needed new centre a reality. Thank you for helping to make dreams come true.

A New Sensory Room at Alexandra Manor

For 65 families using the services of Alexandra Manor in Clane, Co Kildare, respite stays offer their loved ones a welcoming home away from home, while giving families precious time to rest and recharge. Thanks to your support, an unused garage at Alexandra Manor has now been transformed into a dedicated sensory room, providing a calm space where people can relax, enjoy activities and feel supported.

Rachel Malone, who manages Alexandra Manor says the whole team is so grateful for what supporters have made possible: “This new room will see a massive reduction in behaviours and anxiety. It will give us that space and we’re so grateful to have it.”
